Run For Office
Deciding to run for office is a significant commitment.
It requires time away from family, friends, and work, so it’s crucial to understand what this step entails. This means thorough research and due diligence to ensure proper filing with the appropriate election authority, as well as planning a successful campaign.
Some races, like city council or Murfreesboro City School Board elections, are non-partisan, while others involve running in the Republican primary. If successful in the primary, you then advance to the general election as the Republican candidate.
The Republican Party of Rutherford County does not endorse candidates in the primary but supports primary winners in the general election. The party may endorse candidates in non-partisan races.
