Frequently Asked Questions
According to the Secretary of State’s office, to be eligible to register to vote in Tennessee, you must:
- be a United States citizen;
- be a resident of Rutherford County;
- be 18 years old
- not be a convicted felon (unless your sentence is completed, including any probation or parole); and
- not have been determined by a final judgment of a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be:
- totally mentally incapacitated; or
- partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote.
